Answer: From time to time we have openings for the administration team and various other positions in our community. Question: I dont want to join as a pilot, but will I be able to join as a real world or Flight Simulator air traffic controller ? Answer: Yes! We offer the ability to join as both a pilot and an air traffic controller. However, you will be required to pass an entrance exam for the section you select. Question: I want to make money while I fly, will I earn money for my flight hours and/or hours in the tower? Answer: Yes, we have gone the next step in creating a fully unique banking system for our pilots and controllers. Question: Does Detroit Virtual ATC offer any kind of pilot award system ? Answer: Yes, we have a very intuitive and cool pilot and controller award system. Question: I'm a new pilot or ATC, does Detroit Virtual ATC offer any kind of training program that I could enroll in ? Answer: Yes, we have training programs that are specialized for skill levels ranging from beginners to professionals, in both flight and air traffic control. Question: I lost my password and/or username. Will I be able to reset or retrieve my information ? Answer: Yes, you will be able to receive lost information. Please contact a head administrator in order to retrieve your account information. Question: My bank account total is showing an incorrect amount on the forums as well as various other places on the website. How can I fix this ? Answer: In order to keep your money displays on the site current, you must visit your main bank account page. Question: I'm looking to become a certified air traffic controller. How do I become a certified controller? / I'm a real world controller looking to become certified. Answer: If you are looking into becoming a certified controller and you are not currently a real world controller or lack the required skills, we would recommend signing up for ATC Training in the Training Center section. If you are a real world controller or already have the skills required for such duties, please contact an ATC instructor or one of the administrators for more information. Question: I have tried the entrance exam several times, however now it will not allow me to re-take the exam. Why ? Answer: We allow 5 re-takes of the entrance exams. If you exceed this limit you will no longer be able to take the exam. If you would like to keep trying, simply contact a system administrator to gain the ability to get another re-take. Question: How do I start a Virtual Airline here at Detroit Virtual ? Answer: You will need to have a good amount of pilots actively flying and interested in being a part of a VA. After you have a large enough base of members, contact an administrator for information on establishing your virtual airline. After a review of your virtual airline you will hear whether or not your virtual airline is accepted to be a part of Detroit Virtual ATC. Please note: any inactive virtual airlines will be removed from the community. Question: I applied for training, however I have not heard anything from an instructor about my application. Where can I go to get an update on my application status? Answer: You can visit the application status page located at the bottom of the training center to get updates on the status of your application.
